Body of Earth
Body of Earth is an interdisciplinary display of the innate power of the earth and specifically seeks to question perceptions of banality or ugliness that are associated with certain materials like mud, soil, and mold. By bringing these non-Romantic aspects of the environment into the gallery--and coupling them with captivating, haunting personifications of the materials through film installations--the vibrance and value of the "mundane" can be reevaluated by visitors to the space.
